FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT

Based in Henderson, TN.

Salary:  Dependent on experience (Minimum $12.32 per hr.)

Job Duties Include:

  • Maintain all facilities and grounds for all SWHRA Head Start centers in seven counties
  • Maintain and manage tools, equipment, work orders, maintenance logs and schedules
  • Evaluate on-going maintenance needs and develop routine maintenance schedule
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal health, safety and fire code regulations

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general repairs and grounds maintenance
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Valid Tennessee driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • Pass physical examination, TB screen, drug screen and criminal /fingerprint background check.

JOB DUTIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Homemaker Program Assistant

Southwest HRA is seeking a full-time (37.5 hrs. per week) Program Assistant for the Central Office located at 1527 White Ave., Henderson, TN 38340.

The applicant selected to fill this position will assist with the daily operations of a comprehensive home assistance program for a multi-county region. Other duties will consist of preparing and conducting ongoing training for all program staff, database monitoring, reporting functions, and data entry.

Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience handing customers in a friendly and professional manner.  Applicants must also have excellent typing, computer, and data entry skills, as well as be organized and have the ability to multitask.

COACH / MENTOR

Southwest HRA Head Start is accepting applications for the position of Coach / Mentor to work with teaching staff in the seven counties we serve.

Job Duties Include:  Providing individualized and on going coaching, training and technical assistance for teaching staff in Head Start, modeling appropriate and high quality interactions with children in a classroom setting, facilitates the development of individualized Coaching Plans for teaching staff, maintain regular communication with assigned teachers via telephone, emails and on site visits, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Head Start Director and/or Early Childhood Development Manager.

Minimum Salary – $16.06 per hour (Fiscal year 7/01/22 – 6/30/23)

Work schedule:  45 weeks (10 months)
37.5 hrs. per week.

Educational qualificationsBachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with 18 credit hours of Early Childhood Education and at least 3 years as a Lead Teacher and experience supervising staff.  Candidate must become and maintain certification on the CLASS instrument.

Must pass physical exam, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check.

Meals on Wheels Drivers

The Covington driver position consists of deliveries into the Covington, Brighton and Mason areas twice a week on Wednesday and Friday.
Halls delivery day is on Wednesday and covers the Halls and Gates areas.
Both positions require reliable transportation, insurance and a valid driver’s license.
Pay is $9.00 hourly.

Van Driver – Both full-time and part-time positions are available.  Position will require stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. Prep Cook – Full time positions are available.  Position will require stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.  Walking and/or standing will be required for the majority of the day.  Applicants must be dependable and have knowledge of quantity food production practices including sanitation, safety, and inventory control.  Applicants must also have the ability to work well with others and follow detailed instructions.  Three (3) years of quantity food production is preferred.  Full-time positions are 40 hrs. per week with excellent benefits.
