RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP)
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute from two to forty hours a week. They serve in schools, day care centers, hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers, community centers, and other non-profit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP staff helps seniors identify their interests and find appropriate placement within the community to contribute their time and talents. Volunteers receive supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
