Tech Helps
Tech Helps is a computer literacy program for senior adults ages 60 and older. The program is currently available in the counties of Chester, Decatur, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison and McNairy. Tech Helps will provide first time participants with a Chromebook and fifteen hours of basic computer skills. In an effort to help protect our senior adults from online scams, a portion of the training sessions will be focused on cyber security. Volunteers will join our team and be trained through Tech Helps to teach training sessions within their local communities. Assistance will be provided to the participants to access low cost internet services. Subsidizing funds are available to off-set the cost for those who qualify. Transportation to the training sessions will be provided if needed at no cost through the Southwest HRA transportation department.
